​CPR Trainer Volunteer

Volunteers assist in providing CPR training to various groups, including students, healthcare professionals, first responders, and community members. 

• Skills Required: CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to become certified).
• Commitment: Flexible hours based on training schedule.

Narcan Training & Overdose Prevention Educator

Volunteers trained in overdose prevention and Narcan distribution provide education and training on preventing overdoses in at-risk communities.

• Skills Required: Background in healthcare, addiction recovery, or willing to receive training.
• Commitment: Periodic workshops or ongoing community outreach.

Life Skills Workshop Facilitator

Volunteers who have expertise in life skills, financial literacy, career development, and personal empowerment lead workshops for individuals in underserved communities, including survivors of domestic violence and teen parents.

• Skills Required: Teaching experience, knowledge of personal development, or a background in social services.
• Commitment: Regular or event-based.

 Community Outreach Volunteer

Assist in raising awareness about Sterling First Aid CPR’s programs, including CPR classes, life skills workshops, and drug overdose prevention, through community events, social media, and local partnerships.

• Skills Required: Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for the mission, ability to work with diverse populations.
• Commitment: Event-based or ongoing outreach efforts.

Event Volunteer for Fundraising and Awareness

Help organize, set up, and manage community fundraising events such as walkathons, charity dinners, and educational expos to raise funds and awareness for Sterling First Aid CPR’s programs.

• Skills Required: Event planning, logistics coordination, or general support during events.
• Commitment: Event-based.

Social Media Volunteer

Assist in managing Sterling First Aid CPR’s social media accounts by creating content, posting updates, and engaging with the community to raise awareness about the nonprofit’s programs and events.

 • Skills Required: Social media expertise, graphic design, or content creation skills.
 • Commitment: Flexible, ongoing.

Administrative Support Volunteer

Provide office support with tasks such as data entry, phone calls, document organization, and maintaining records related to training sessions and workshops.

 • Skills Required: Organizational skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail.
• Commitment: Flexible hours, depending on office needs.

Domestic Violence Support Group Leader

​Facilitate support groups for women affected by domestic violence, offering a safe space for emotional healing and providing access to resources for escaping violence.

• Skills Required: Background in counseling or social services, understanding of trauma-informed care.
 • Commitment: Weekly or bi-weekly group meetings.

Teen Pregnancy Support Mentor

Volunteer as a mentor for teens affected by pregnancy, helping them navigate challenges such as continuing education, career planning, and health services.

• Skills Required: Empathy, experience in mentoring or working with young people, understanding of teen pregnancy challenges.
• Commitment: Flexible, depending on mentor-mentee pairing.

Grant Writing & Fundraising Volunteer

Assist with researching grant opportunities, writing proposals, and developing fundraising strategies to support the nonprofit’s programs and initiatives.

• Skills Required: Experience in grant writing or fundraising, strong writing skills, ability to research and apply for funding.
 • Commitment: Flexible, project-based.

Shelter and Resource Support Volunteer

​Assist in managing or organizing shelters for domestic violence survivors, providing direct support or helping with food distribution, clothing drives, or other essential needs.

 • Skills Required: Experience in direct service, empathy, or organizational skills.
 • Commitment: Ongoing or event-based, depending on program needs.
